Salary: FC6 £29,508.69 to £32,437.03 pro rata
Working Pattern: 18 hours per week, on rota basis including evening and weekends and sleepovers

Fife Residential Childcare and Housing Support Service
Are you a caring, passionate, active, honest and kind individual, if so, this may the position for you.
Our Residential Service support some of the most vulnerable young people in Fife who have experienced significant childhood adversity and who, at times, may experience significant distress and distressed related behaviours. Candidates must:
Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting
Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans
Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children
Support children in their daily routines, including education, activities, and personal development
Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet children`s needs
Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all children
Uphold the principals of the Promise Scotland
Undertake physical tasks (for example cleaning and cooking) that promote a homely environment
Participate in various activities with children in the house and community
The successful applicant will be expected to uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate
The Person:
Experience of working with young people who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences
An understanding of the concepts and principles of attachment & trauma responsive care
Must be able to see beyond presenting behaviours whilst being able to display empathy, compassion and hope for young people
Understand that this is a demanding and, at times, very tough job. A high level of composure and resilience is required
Must have an HNC in Social Care and SVQ 3, or be willing to work toward these qualifications and register with SSSC within 3 months of start date
Ability to organise and participate in leisure and recreational activities
A full driving licence is desirable
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
