Planning Assistant
About the Role
DP World Logistics offers tailored Logistics Concepts for the automotive, supplier and consumer goods industry. We support from planning to implementation of reliable process chains by understanding all the needs and requirements and make individual solutions possible.
We are currently recruiting for a planning Assistant for our site in Bicester. In this role, you will be responsible for helping and supporting the Planning team in administrative activity for returns, print room, inventory, consumables and other administrative tasks required. The role is an extremely varied role working closely with other members of the planning team and the operations team.
Location: Bicester
Hours: Day shift from Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
How you will contribute:
- Checking levels of consumables and placing orders as required
- Monitoring weekly inventory investigations and resolving the issues.
- Dealing with daily and weekly reports
- Conducting stock take
- Creating PO of for operational purchases
- Printing orders.
- Prioritizing orders on BOTS and replen
- Creating weekly job sheets
- Creating job quotes
- Reviewing pallet locations and potentially moving them
- Set up order pools for the new releases
- Order stock
- Reporting any stock concerns to the Team Leader
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness at all times using 5s concept
- Ability to read and follow standard working instructions exactly to ensure accurate compliance for processes and to ensure consistency and safety
- Demonstrate flexibility to move to various jobs in order to meet customer demand
- Perform other duties as required
What you will bring:
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft office
- Good level of English and maths
- Team working skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work under time sensitive pressures
- Good working knowledge of warehouse management systems & GDS
- Understanding of stock management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively under limited supervision
- Ability to work with frequent distractions
- Ability to provide professional responses to queries both in verbal and written English.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of team members
- Ability to cooperate and follow direction of Managers
